Autumn in Oregon is my favorite season

People always talk about summer but October in this valley is when everything feels right to me. The light gets soft, the leaves turn, and the whole world smells like rain and woodsmoke. I'm thirty-five, a photographer, and I've been single for about a year after a relationship that ran its course. I'm not heartbroken — I'm actually in a really good place. I want to meet a man who notices the small things, who'd let me drag him outside for golden hour photos without complaining too much, and who has his own passions that he'd want to share with me. I'm independent but not guarded, if that makes sense. I lead with my heart and I'm looking for someone who does the same.
