New in town with no expectations

Really though, honestly I'm just tired of being the third wheel at every dinner party my friends host. Truth is, i'm the person who talks to strangers in elevators and has made friends in weird places. Between you and me, i'm into bonsai and I have a ficus that I've been training for three years. I'm not looking for anything heavy but I want someone to check out events with in Hudson Valley without pressure.
