Dry heat and dryer humor

People from the coast complain about how hot the valley gets, but I'll take a dry hundred-and-two over fog any day. I'm twenty-nine, a mechanic at a shop off Crows Landing Road, and yes I'm a woman who fixes cars and no I don't need you to be impressed. Single two years after an engagement that fell apart over money arguments we should've had earlier. I want someone who works with his hands or at least respects that I do. Someone who'll drink a beer on my porch when it's too hot to think and not suggest we drive to Santa Cruz. I'm blunt, funny in a mean way, and I'll probably insult you on the first date to see if you can take it. If you laugh, we're good.
