Stan State grad staying local on purpose

Everyone I went to Stan State with moved to the Bay or LA and I stayed, and honestly I don't regret it. I'm twenty-six, I work at a nonprofit that does youth programs, and I actually like Modesto — the traffic's sane, the people are real, and you can afford to breathe. Single about a year after a relationship that ended because he got a job in Oakland and I didn't want to go. I want someone who's planted here too, or at least not treating the valley like a waiting room. Someone who'd volunteer at a community garden with me on a Saturday and then grab tacos. I'm idealistic, a little scrappy, and I laugh too loud at my own jokes. Be someone who thinks that's charming.
