Newly single, cautiously optimistic

Age: 45
So I just ended a five-year relationship in March and I'm dipping my toe back in, which feels weird and scary and a little exciting. I'm thirty-one, I work in HR for a food processing company, and I live in a little apartment near downtown with my cat and a view of the Graffiti Nights mural. The breakup was mutual — we loved each other but we were making each other smaller. I want someone who has his own thing going on and isn't looking to merge lives on week two. Someone who'd grab a coffee at the downtown market on a Saturday morning and see how the conversation goes. I'm a slow warm-up but I'm worth the wait. I notice things other people miss, and I'll remember the thing you mentioned once in passing.
