Living in Medford means you're always either explaining to Portland friends why you stay or defending the drive to anyone from California considering the move. I stay because the cost of living lets me have a life, and the outdoors are twenty minutes in any direction. I'm thirty-five, a civil engineer, and I've been so focused on building a career that I forgot to build anything else. Trying to fix that now. I'm looking for someone grounded, funny without being mean about it, and emotionally available in a way that doesn't require a disclaimer. I'm competitive at mini golf, terrible at chess, and I think the right person makes ordinary weekends feel like something worth looking forward to.
