Quapaw Quarter charm, modern mess

Age: 36
I bought a hundred-year-old house in the Quapaw Quarter two years ago and it's been a nonstop education in plumbing, patience, and the limits of my own optimism. I'm thirty-eight, a college professor of sociology, and I've been on my own for about three years since a marriage that ended slowly and then all at once. We were good on paper and lost in practice. I'm in a completely different place now — clearer, stronger, more myself than I was in my twenties or early thirties. I'm drawn to men who've also been through some life and come out the other side with self-awareness intact. I'm intellectually restless, politically left, and I can talk about anything from systemic inequality to which local taco truck is the best, and I consider both conversations equally important. I want someone who can hold his own across that range. If you can, I'd genuinely like to meet you.
