State Capitol worker, off-duty dreamer

I work at the state capitol in legislative services and most days I'm reading bills and drafting summaries, which sounds dull but is actually fascinating if you're the type of person who cares about how policy shapes lives. I'm twenty-eight, and about a year ago a two-year relationship ended because he thought government work was boring and I thought his dismissal of it was worse. I'm looking for a man who's intellectually engaged with the world — someone who reads the news, has informed opinions, and can disagree without being condescending. I'm earnest, organized, and I still get excited about democracy, which I know is not the coolest thing to say but I've stopped optimizing for cool. I want someone who's similarly unafraid to care about things. If you're passionate about something — anything — and can talk about it with conviction, I want to hear about it.
