Transplant learning the ways

Thirty-four, I moved here from Ohio three years ago for a job at Lexmark and I still feel like a tourist. I'm an engineer, I'm literal, I don't get the bourbon obsession yet but I'm trying. I want someone who'll show me around properly—not the chain restaurants, the real places. The little spot with the hot browns. The back roads where the fences go on forever. I'm socially awkward in groups but great one-on-one. I want someone who finds that endearing instead of weird. I'll be honest: I'm lonely and I'm bad at pretending otherwise. Give me a chance and I'll show up every time.
