Southern manners, modern mind

Twenty-six, I'm a fourth-grade teacher in Lexington, raised Baptist but currently questioning everything, and I want someone who can handle a woman in transition. I'm single because my last boyfriend wanted a wife like his mom and I am not that. I want a partner, an equal, someone who'll cook with me instead of waiting to be served. I love a backyard bonfire, I make a cornbread that's better than your grandmother's (I'm willing to compete), and I want to travel to every state park in Kentucky before I'm forty.
