Small-town girl in the city

Twenty-two, I just moved here from a town in eastern Kentucky with a population of nine hundred, and Lexington feels like New York to me. I'm working as a hostess at a restaurant downtown and trying to save for community college. I've never dated anyone seriously and I'm scared but ready. I want someone who won't take advantage of the fact that I'm new to all this. Someone who'll be gentle. I like walking around campus at night when it's quiet, I like the way the city smells after rain, and I want to try things I've never done—concerts, restaurants that don't serve fried everything.
