Recovering from a bad one

Twenty-eight, I got out of a relationship in January that I'm still unspooling from. He was controlling and I didn't see it until I was out. I work at a clinic, I'm in therapy, I'm getting my spine back. I want someone kind. That's it. Kind. Someone who doesn't raise his voice, who asks before he decides, who thinks my opinions matter. I like quiet evenings, I like walking the trails at LeFleur's Bluff, I like a man who reads actual books. I'm skittish and I know it. I need someone patient.
