Trying to stay optimistic

Forty-three, single mom to a sixteen-year-old who's about to leave me for college and I'm already dreading the empty house. I've been divorced since she was nine, did the therapy, did the healing, dated here and there but nothing stuck. I teach high school English in Hartford and I've got enough patience for a saint. I want someone to grow into the next chapter with. Someone who likes a quiet morning, a slow coffee, a walk around the neighborhood. I'm not chasing butterflies anymore. I want the comfortable kind of love, the kind that shows up. I've got a lot of life left and I don't want to spend it solo.
