Fox River sunset, two glasses of wine
Age: 42
My apartment overlooks the Fox River and every sunset I stand at the window like some character in a novel, and every sunset I think the same thing: this would be better with someone. I'm thirty-five, an occupational therapist, and roughly ten months have passed since a relationship that was nice but never caught fire fizzled out. I don't want nice anymore — I want the spark, the nervous energy, the thing where you can't stop thinking about each other. I'm realistic enough to know that fades into something steadier, but I want it to exist at the start. I'm passionate about my work, my friends, and the people I let close. I laugh loudly, I love hard, and I've been accused of being too intense, which I've decided is a compliment. I want a man who can match intensity without being intimidated by it. If you're that kind of guy, I'd like to meet you.
