Restaurant Industry Life Means Late Nights

I'm a sous chef at a farm-to-table spot downtown and my schedule is the opposite of normal. I work weekends and holidays and I'm off on Mondays, which makes dating feel like scheduling a dentist appointment. I'm 32 and I've accepted that anyone in my life needs to understand the restaurant world or at least respect it. The person I was with for four years never stopped resenting my hours and it became the wedge that split us. I want someone who sees my passion as a feature, not a bug. Someone who'll eat late dinners with me after my shift and doesn't mind that my hands smell like garlic more often than not. Be hungry and be patient. I'll make it worth the wait.
