Second Act, Same City, New Standards

I'm 44 and starting over in the same city I've lived in for twenty years, which is both comforting and strange. My divorce was finalized eight months ago and I'm not looking to rush into anything serious, but I'm also not looking to sit home every night. I work in insurance and I'm good at assessing risk, which is why I'm being careful about who I let in. The magnolias on the UF campus bloom in spring and it's the one time of year I don't mind the heat. I want a man my age or older who's been through the fire and come out kinder. No anger, no scores to settle. Just peace and good company.
