College Town, Grown-Up Heart

Living in a college town in your thirties is a specific kind of surreal — half the people your age act like they're still twenty-one, and the other half are married with three kids. I'm 34, I teach middle school math, and I'm somewhere in the middle of those two extremes. I got divorced last year from my high school sweetheart and I'm still figuring out who I am on my own. I want to date someone who's also been through some things and come out the other side without becoming bitter. The springs north of here are my escape — Ichetucknee, Ginnie, any of them. I need a man who's patient with me while I figure myself out.
