New in Town and Curious About You

I transferred here from Peoria for a promotion six months ago and I still get lost driving to the grocery store. I'm 34, I work in banking, and I live in a apartment near the hospital because it was the first place I could find on short notice. Everyone tells me the East Village is where I should be hanging out, so that's my weekend project. I'd love a tour guide who doesn't mind showing a newcomer around. I'm outgoing once I'm comfortable but I'm a little shy in new settings, which I know seems contradictory. I want someone who makes a new city feel less foreign. Patience and a sense of adventure are what I'm offering in return.
