Dallas summer, slow heart

I'm twenty-seven, a social worker, and I've been single for about eighteen months after a relationship that ended because I needed someone who could sit with me in the hard stuff, not just the fun stuff. My work is intense and I need a partner who understands that. I want a man who's emotionally available, patient, and who thinks compassion is a strength, not a weakness. I like the Dallas Museum of Art, quiet coffee shops, and I've recently started volunteering at an animal shelter, which is the best and hardest thing I do.
