Transplant From Up North,Converted Southerner

I moved here from Boston six years ago for a job at Georgia Tech and I never went back, which my family considers a betrayal. I'm 34, I research machine learning, and I'm apparently the only person in Atlanta who can't stand sweet tea. I've acclimated to everything else — the traffic, the humidity, the obsession with college football. What I haven't found is someone who matches my energy for both deep intellectual conversations and stupid jokes. The Westside BeltLine trail is where I run and where I process my life. I want a man who's smart without being pretentious and kind without being performative. I may be a Yankee but I'm here to stay.
